1چكيده:
Black holes are solutions to Einstein General Relativity (GR) which can form
dynamically under gravitational collapse. Existence of black holes have also been
confirmed by astrophysical observations. Black holes, once semi-classical physics is
also added, undergo Hawking radiation and hence may eventually evaporate. This
leads to "information paradox" which may be remedied through "black hole
complementarity", a manifestation of equivalence principle at quantum level.
Nonetheless, recently black hole complementarity itself has been put into scrutiny
and question through the "firewall" catastrophe. We discuss these issues and some
of the proposals and issues about black holes, their description as thermodynamical
systems.
